The 2010 2011Buick Century
>> Friday, March 19, 2010
Buick Century is the model name used by the Buick division of General Motors for a line of full-size performance vehicles from 1936 to 1942 and 1954 to 1958, and from 1973 to 2005 for a mid-size car. The model name Century came about when Buick was designing its first production automobile capable of reaching a speed of 100 mph. The division needed to come up with a name. One of the Buick executives had returned from a recent trip to the British isles and told the other executives that the British referred to going 100 mph as "doing the century". The executives liked the Century name and it stuck.
New 2010 2011 standard Buick Century features include the following; a V6 engine with room enough for six-passengers, remote keyless entry and driver and front passenger air bags. All 2010 2011 Buick Century's come with air conditioning with dual zone climate control and an air filtration system. Power windows and locks and a dual foldaway side mirrors have a power remote, all standard. Buick Century's standard dual-zone climate control enables the driver and front seat passenger to vary their individual temperature up to five degrees to suit their personal comfort level. Dual-zone climate control also includes rear seat outlets for rear passengers.
Century has a full-range traction control to help drive wheel slippage reacting automatically by modulating the brakes and reducing engine torque to help the driver regain control. This will maximize traction on slippery surfaces such as snow or ice. Century also has an electronically controlled 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive providing smooth acceleration and power on demand while still delivering excellent fuel economy for a luxury sedan.
The 2010 2011 Buick Century has a fair EPA Estimated at 20 mpg in the city, 29 mpg on the highway. In addition to standard features such as traction control, daytime running lamps, and power door locks/windows, 2010 2011 Buick Century parts include a number of new features, as well. The new Century was the highest ranked Premium Midsize Car in J.D. Power and Associates 2002 Initial Quality Study. With that in mind, you know to expect that the car will be overflowing with things for everyone to enjoy, such as the 3100 V6 sequential fuel-injection engine in the Century provides 175 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque, generating more power than you'll ever need.
Under the chassis, the vehicle's four-wheel independent suspension works with vibration-resistant crossmembers and isolated subframes to give you superb handling and a smooth, quiet ride. But there's more to the 2010 2011 Buick Century. The standard dual-zone climate control on this year's models enables the driver and front seat passenger to vary their individual temperature up to five degrees to suit their personal comfort level.
The car also comes standard with an air filtration system that traps dust and pollen in a disposable filter before it can enter the passenger compartment. The Century's available glove-soft leather-appointed seating is designed to ensure that you and up to five passengers always travel in comfort. Finally, for maximum seating comfort and customization, a six-way power adjustable driver seat is available on every 2010 2011 Buick Century model.
